Sunbeam House Services Annual Coffee Morning and Presentation took place at Jack Whites earlier this month. 48 clients who had participated in the Sunbeam Variety Show at the Arklow Bay Hotel in July were awarded with Certificates.
On hand to make the presentations were (Pictured above L-R): Jeana Hayden, (Na Cailini), Paddy Mallen (Crosscare), Cllr. Peir Leonard (Arklow Municipal District), Tommy Breen (Co-ordinator of Sunbeam House Services Musical Programme), Ann Walker (Na Cailini)

.
The morning was a huge success with a large attendance from across the County from both performers and supporters turning out to cheer their peers on. The variety concert itself was part funded by Wicklow County Council aswell as Na Cailini who had put on a fundraising gig at the local Corner House pub in Arklow in order to raise money towards the show. Na Cailini had also performed on the night as did a number of music students from Crosscare. Local Traditional Supergroup A Feast of Irish Folk had also performed to the packed variety show crowd back in July.
On the morning of the presentations, there were a number of interesting stalls at the event including Angels and Cards by Gina Wilkin of ClaraVille, Fairy Doors made at Ballyraine and handmade jewellery made at Glenvale. A number of members from viewpoint, Sunbeams self-advocacy group were also present on the day.

The Sunbeam Music programme is organised by Tommy Breen who is assisted at events by a number of volunteers. There is always great support for Sunbeam musical events and the most recent event was no different. There were plenty of refreshments provided by Sunbeam House Services, there was of course the odd performance piece and most importantly, it was a great opportunity for everyone to meet up on a beautiful sunny day and to recall their favourite moments from the show.
With October on the horizon, it was no surprise to learn that Tommy and the Music Programme students are already well underway with rehearsals for the Christmas event.
