Bray Wanderers meet Wexford FC in Ferrycarrig Park this evening

This evening’s away clash has been described as ‘vital’, with Bray Wanderers coach Ian Ryan stating that his team’s fate is in their own hands.

Wanderers trail the Slaneysiders by six points (and one game), and the Bray team are already well-aware of the scoring potential of the dangerous Wexford team, with whom Wanderers have beaten, drawn with, and lost to in three games since March.

Coach Ian Ryan said: “We know what we have to do. Wexford probably have a different type of pressure – teams are chasing them and hunting them down. So, there’s pressure on both sides.”

“Each week that goes by, we need to make sure we do our business. And we need to win. Everything is in our hands because of the teams we play against. It’s important that we keep it going as long as we can. We’ll do that by hopefully getting a win on Friday.”

Meanwhile, Wanderers’ top-scorer Ben Feeney has been ruled-out for the rest of the season due to ongoing problems with his ankle.

“We’ll be lucky to see Ben back by the end of the year. He’s seen a specialist. It looks like his season is over” Ryan revealed.

Kick off is at 7.45PM.
