SYMPATHY 

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Breda Hyland nee Kilbride, Carnew who died last week and was buried on Wednesday in Tomacork Cemetery.

GAA LOTTO 

CARNEW GAA lotto was not won numbers were 5,12,25,30, lucky dips were Ted Kennedy and PJ Hennessy, the next draw is 11th September and the jackpot is €14,100 tickets only €2 from local shops or on line.

Tomnafinnoge Athletics Club

Tomnafinnoge Athletics Club is commencing its cross-country training sessions for children aged 8 and above on Tuesday, September 5th, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at The Fairgreen in Shillelagh. We extend a warm welcome to all newcomers. For additional updates, kindly check our Facebook page.

Carnew Darkness into Light Walk 2024

COFFEE DAY 
The annual coffee day for Wexford hospice home care will be held on Sunday 17th September from 10am to 8 pm in Askamore Hall Y25F6D8, all are welcome to come along and enjoy a cuppa and a chat and buy some delicious cakes many thanks Paul and Ailish Little and Mary and Ashling Walsh .

PARISH DRAW

Shillelagh parish draw will take place on 16th September tickets €2 per line and prizes are 1st €200, 2nd €150, 3rd €100 Topline voucher, 4th €50, 5th meal for two.

Kilrush parish draw will take place on Saturday 9th September, tickets €2 per line from the committee of Fr Power.

Men on the Move

Men on the Move is a wellness programme with the primary focus on physical activity to increase mobility and core strength. The purpose of the programme is to use physical activity to encourage inactive men to engage with their health with a view to improving overall health and wellbeing. The activities facilitate inactive men to take the first step into the world of exercise. The programme highlights that age is not a barrier for participation and enjoyment of the activities. There will be free sessions to trial the programme on Monday 28thand Thursday 31st of August at 10am in Carnew Emmets sports field under the guidance of instructor Mr Tom Thornton. The Autumn programme begins on Monday 4th of September at 1Oam and will cost €5 a week.

PILATES 

Pilates classes take place on a Tuesday night in Colaiste Bhride Carnew and Thursday night in the GAA grounds, to book your place go to Kpilates on Facebook and book your slot.

Mens classes on Tuesday nights and classes must be pre booked also .

REUNION BBQ

A reunion barbeque which will take place in Askamore Community Centre on Friday September 22ndcommencing at 8.30. It will be to celebrate the life of Eileen Doyle craanford who passed away in June of this year. Eileen was much loved and was a wonderful person. This night is particularly aimed at her many former Macra friends.  Tickets are 20 euro each and music will be provided by James Reid. Profits will be given to a cancer charity to be announced later.  Further information on 087 2898805. Admission is by ticket only.
