Minister Simon Harris pays visit to Wicklow Town Educate Together

The Minister for Further & Higher Level Education visited Wicklow’s Educate Together to meet with 5th year students who are studying politics.

Minister Harris said, “I was delighted to have the opportunity to again visit Educate Together Secondary School in Wicklow.”

“This is a really excellent and growing secondary school in Wicklow Town and I am so proud of all the work they are doing.”

“I am very determined to help this school secure a permanent building.”

“The Department of Education is currently examining a potential option in relation to a site, and I understand an architectural consultant has been appointed to conduct an assessment of this potential option.”

“I will continue to work tirelessly until we secure a permanent, fit for purpose, modern school facility for this excellent school community.”

“I was also delighted to have the chance to talk with students today, and crucially to listen to them. To listen to their views and concerns on a variety of issues and to take their questions.”

“It is always a great opportunity to go into a school and to engage with the next generation.”
