BirdWatch Ireland have something very special in mind for their next event on October 10th.
Ecologist and author Richard Nairn will be joining BirdWatch Ireland for their next indoor event in Wicklow on Tuesday October 10th, and he’ll be imparting his vast wealth of knowledge of the Irish wilderness and natural world.
At this event, he will be speaking about his latest book ‘Wild Waters: The Magic of Ireland’s Rivers and Lakes’, which will cover the beautiful Avonmore river, a river which so many of Wicklow’s most beautiful landscapes drink from.
Mr. Nairn will speak about the natural beauty of Ireland’s rivers while keeping a cautious eye on the challenges that face their preservation, such as the rapid deterioration of our natural enviroment in a world wrought by a climate crisis and poor human behaviour.
