OPW announces exciting apprenticeship opportunities for young craftsmen

For anyone interested in craftsmanship, the OPW are offering you the opportunity to earn while you learn.

The Office of Public Works are now offering apprenticeship opportunities for young people wishing to explore Stonecutting and Stonemasonry, Carpentry and Joinery, Construction Plant Fitting, and Brick and Stonelaying.

Independent Councillor Stephen Stokes said: ““The option of pursuing an apprenticeship, learning and training at the same time opens up new career opportunities and that’s very welcome. This is a great way for people to gain in demand skills. It will also help to make a vital contribution in the community. I would encourage early applications.”

Visit the OPW website between now and the 9th of October for application and information booklets.
