Avondale Camogie Results
Avondale u16 camogie travelled to Echelon Centre of excellence Rathdrum on Wednesday 30th August to play Avoca in the u16 camogie final. Avondale camogie team came out on the losing side with a full time scoreline of Avondale 0-03(3) to Avoca 3-03(12).

Rathdrum Historical Society is starting its Autumn season on Monday 11th September with a guided tour of Avondale House Meeting point is the car park at Avondale house at 5.45pm

Rathdrum scouts will make a return to their weekly meeting on Monday the 18th September for beavers and cubs and Thursday the 14th September for scouts

Pier Closure In Wicklow Harbour
Information for any one from Rathdrum and surrounding areas that go walking on the pier in Wicklow town. The new (north) pier in Wicklow harbour will be closed to the public this week for four to five weeks to facilitate maintenance work on the pier structure. Avoid the area while this is going on. There is a beautiful walk up along the Murrough in Wicklow or there is a lovely walk out along the cliff walk out to the lighthouse with lovely views of the sea if you want to do that walk until the work on the pier is finished do so.
