Minister Harris meets Kilbride GAA to see new playground & plans for clubhouse & pitches

Wicklow Fine Gael Minister Simon Harris TD has met with Kilbride GAA to discuss their developments plans in the village and how Government funding through the Leader grant and sports capital grants has helped deliver new facilities.

Speaking today, Minister Harris said, “I really want to congratulate everyone in Kilbride GAA for their incredible work and progress, including all the committee and particularly Diarmuid Haughian. I have been working with this club for sometime and it is great to see the new playground now open and the walking track and lights installed.

“I am really excited about their plans for the future including the development of a club house and new pitches and I will work with them closely to make progress on this.

“These new facilities are injecting new life into this brilliant community and is making a major difference to the wellbeing of the area. I am so proud of all that has been achieved and really looking forward to the next steps.”
