Katie Taylor readies herself for epic rematch with Chantelle Cameron tonight

The Wicklow native and queen of boxing, Katie Taylor, will have her chance to take back her undisputed super-lightweight titles from Cameron, who gave Taylor her first professional loss last May.

All of Ireland are preparing to get behind boxing hero Taylor, who herself is preparing for all-out war with the opponent who defeated her last May.

The boxing legend from Bray has declined many press inquiries and stayed out of the public eye in order to focus her efforts on what she has described as a fight that she ‘needs to win.’

Suffering her first professional loss to British boxer Chantelle Cameron last May, Katie will tonight seek her revenge in a bout that is already being called a must-see event.

Taking place in the 3Arena in front of a home crowd in Dublin tonight, Katie will be assuming the unusual role of “underdog” in her bout with Cameron. Though while many see this as a make or break moment for the boxing hero, Irish fans across social media have expressed their undying support for the woman who put Irish boxing back on the map.

Both Cameron and Taylor both presented just under 140lbs on Friday’s weigh-in, with Taylor moving up from the lightweight division.

But while Taylor will have the advantage of a home crowd behind her, Chantelle Cameron has already proven to be her greatest challenge yet, and with a professional record of 18-0-0 under her belt – the British boxer is not one to be taken lightly by any stetch of the imagination.

You can watch the fight from home on DAZN or Sky Channel 429, where the main event is expected to start at 10.30pm.
