Man (68) dies in tragic workplace accident in Wicklow

A man died last night in a tragic workplace accident in Coolafancy, near Tinahealy.

Gardai responded to a call at 6.10pm last night where they found the body of the man on the scene.

Emergency services arrived and removed the man’s body. A postmortem examination is due to be carried out.

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) confirmed that they are aware of the man’s death and are now investigating the circumstances surrounding it.

Gardai are also investigating.
