Orange weather warning issued for Wicklow as Storm Debi approaches

Met Éireann have issued an orange wind warning for 18 counties, including Wicklow, from 2am until 10am on Monday morning.

A National Emergency Co-ordination Group met today to prepare for Storm Debi, with Met Éireann warning the public that the storm may cause severe damages in parts of the West Coast, where a red warning is now in place.

An orange weather warning has been issued for 18 counties, including; Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Wicklow, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Meath, Louth, Offaly, Cavan, Westmeath, Clare, Monaghan, Limerick, Kerry, Galway and Tipperary.

Met Éireann have warned that Storm Debi has the grave potential to damage vulnerable structures, cause dangerous driving conditions, and disrupt services and power lines.
