Tributes pour out for Rathnew man who died in tragic accident

Tyrone (Tbone) McNabb of Woodside, Rathnew, Co. Wicklow, died on the 3rd of November in a tragic accident near Rathdrum.

Gardai and emergency services were called to a serious accident involving a van and motorcycle at Corballis Upper in Rathdrum last Friday morning, where Mr. McNabb was tragically pronounced deceased on the scene.

Since then, tributes from all over Wicklow and from much further afield have poured out for the popular Rathnew man who was well-known and loved in the county.

Rathnew GAA Club wrote: “Such terrible sad news reached the village yesterday morning . When we heard of the tragedy of Tyrones passing . Who was on his way to work but unfortunately was involved in a road traffic accident. A quiet unassuming very hard working young gentleman he had his whole life ahead of him. Sadly Tyrone’s passing comes only 5 months after the passing of his grandfather Paddy McNabb R.I.P.”

Ballybrack Seagulls FC also paid tribute to the man: “Our love , sympathy, warmth and support are tonight offered to the McNabb family upon the tragic circumstances this morning that led to the passing of the beautiful soul that was Tyrone Jr. Taken from this world far too soon. His father, brother and loved ones will remain in the forefront of each and everyone of our minds , our prayers and our thoughts forever more. May Tyrone rest in eternal peace.”

Tyrone is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his father Tyrone, his father’s partner Sharon, brother Gary, sister Alex May, Gary’s partner Deirbhle, niece Croía, uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and friends.
