Wicklow Choral Society presents Carols by Candelight in Wicklow Town

Following the huge success of their sold-out May performance of Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living at St. Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Choral Society is ringing in the festive season in the beautiful Dominican College Chapel Wicklow Town with Carols by Candlelight on Saturday, December 9th at 7:30 PM.

Musical Director James Bingham of the Irish National Opera has produced a repertoire of festive pieces for the choir including carol arrangements by Rutter and Wilcocks, with a sprinkle of Handel’s Messiah and a hint of Elgar. James is also known to bring in the congregation during the performance so be prepared to join in!

The night also includes renowned piano accompanist Rachel Quinn, both soloist and chamber musician with the Degani Trio, and to top off the proceedings, soloist Ben Escorcio will raise the roof with O Holy Night and more.

A family-friendly event with children under 12 free of charge, the night promises to be a fun-filled event for everyone.

Tickets are €15 and are available from choir members, Earls Newsagents Wicklow Town and at the door.
