Wicklow mountain rescue teams rush to assist injured male

The incident, which was the 82nd of the year, took place over the weekend.

At 1:07pm on Sunday afternoon, The Glen of Imaal Irish Red Cross Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin and Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by the National Ambulance Service to assist a male with a lower leg injury.

The casualty was lowered off steep terrain on Camaderry mountain and then transferred to an awaiting ambulance at the lead mines car park and the incident was stood down by 5:13pm.
