Would you like to see a new community garden in your area?

Wicklow County Council are seeking expressions of interest from people who want to establish community gardens in their area.

Whether you already have a green thumb or would like to develop one this year, Wicklow CoCo are seeking expressions of interest in people who would like to see a community garden established in their area.

Community gardens and allotments can be huge game-changers for both communities as a whole as well as the individuals within the community. Growing your own fresh fruit and vegetables can really supplement your weekly shop, and sharing in a public garden can be just the thing to bring communities closer together.

Following Cllr Lourda Scott’s successful motion last year, Wicklow CoCo are now tasked with helping interested communities to establish their very own community gardens.

An expression of interest from the public will be sought in Q1 for this year, so keep your eyes peeled for when you’ll be asked to have your voice heard.
