Mountain Rescue team assist two lost hikers over bank holiday weekend

Dublin-Wicklow Mountain Rescue and Glen of Imaal Irish Red Cross Mountain Rescue came to the aid of two hikers who found themselves in trouble near Camenbologue.

Concerned with visibility due to the weather and daylight fading fast, the two hikers called Moutain Rescue to assist them.

The two hikers stayed at their location while the Mountain Rescue Team made their way towards them, and upon locating the hikers, the team assessed that they were not injured and were walked back to the vehicle where they were driven back to nearby Baravore car park.

The Dublin-Wicklow Mountain Rescue team have been busy this year, with 8 call-outs already since the new year, one of which made national news when Maggie, one of their rescue dogs, helped them to locate a missing person in the Saggart Woods last week.
