Wicklow artist Sam Noonan to perform ‘Transitions’ at Smock Alley Theatre this February

Local artist Sam Noonan will perform his ‘Transitions’ performance art piece at the Smock Alley in Dublin on February 20th and 21st.

Inspired by the communicative nature of movement, poet and multi-talented artist Sam Noonan will perform a unique piece of performance art that he has written himself, a piece that will explore the themes of transition, masculinity, repression, and liberation, all through the lens of movement.

Sam will use the mediums of theatre, spoken word, movement, and dance, to tell the story of his journey through adolesence and adulthood. A raw, DIY-forward expression of self-discovery told by one man, and told using the most honest, elementary, and thought-provoking apparatus available to an artist – voice and action.

Transitions is written and performed by Sam Noonan, directed by Ellen Buckley, with movement directed by Charlotte O’Reilly. It is produced by Judd Byrne, with graphic design by Ross Ryder, and copywriting from Daragh Griffin.
