Wicklow football manager Oisín McConville given 4-week ban for verbal abuse

Wicklow manager Oisín McConville has been handed a four-week ban for verbally abusing a referee during last weekend’s Division 3 match against Sligo.

It was reported that Mr. McConville verbally abused official Kieran Eannetta during Wicklow’s match against Sligo last weekend, where Wicklow were defeated 2-10 to 1-11.

The Wicklow manager and Armagh legend will now miss two Allianz Football League games, against Westmeath and Clare.

While he was offered the opportunity to appeal the temporary ban, he has since declined and will not be present for the upcoming fixtures.
