Independent candidate Sammy the Seal proposes introduction of 4th meal time per day

Independent candidate Sammy the Seal has expressed concern regarding what he calls a “meal time crisis” in Ireland, while setting out his list of promises and proposals ahead of the 2024 Irish local elections.

The viral star turned politico, Sammy T. Seal, launched his election manifesto yesterday evening, claiming that he would be a voice for the voiceless should he be elected this coming June.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. T. Seal said “I’ve been at every doorstep from Tinahely to Bray and everyone is telling me the same thing – ‘Sammy, three meals a day just isn’t enough’. The government aren’t listening to them, but you can be sure that I will.”

“I’ve cultivated great relationships with the people of Co. Wicklow, the business owners, the hard-workers, and all of those who serve at the front line of our wonderful county. I speak to them and I hear them, and they simply cannot accept that three meals a day is enough to satisfy their caloric requirements.”

“If elected as a councillor, I will use the platform bestowed on me by the Irish people in service of the Irish people. I was born with two hind flippers and I intend to use them.” he declared, “And if there’s anything to be said for the introduction of a fifth meal time, you can be sure I’ll explore that too.”

When pressed on how he managed to knock on so many door while lacking the bone structure necessary to do so, Mr. T. Seal hissed in response, before flapping back slowly into the water at his home outside The Fish Man restaurant in Wicklow Town.

The Irish local elections are scheduled to be held in all local authorities in Ireland on June 7th, 2024.
