Bridget (Bridie) Quirke of Bray, Co. Wicklow, passed away peacefully after a short illness borne with great dignity, on 6th August, 2021, in her 94th year, in the loving care of the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at Wicklow Hospice. Beloved daughter of the late Henry and Bridget, sister of the late Timothy, Marie and her husband Jim Byrne, Kathleen and her husband Terry Whelan (Canada), also predeceased by her nephew Terence Whelan (Canada) and by her great-nephew Henry Bernard (Canada). She will be sadly missed by her nieces Brenda Vines, Mary Kearney, Rosaleen Bernard (Canada), Dorothy Bernard (Canada) and Deirdre Long (Canada) together with their husbands Tony, Ray, Andre, Marcel and remembering the late Russell, nephews Des Byrne, Liam Whelan (Canada) and Timothy Whelan (Canada) along with their wives Anne and Verylene, cousins Patricia Gargan, Benny and Kathleen Gavin, Ger and Annette Brady (Canada), great-grandnieces and nephews, her wonderful neighbours and friends.
Removal from Colliers Funeral Home on Tuesday (10th August) at 9.30am to St. Peter’s Church, Little Bray, where a Funeral Mass, limited to 50 people, will take place at 10.00am. This may be viewed at churchservices.tv/braystpeters. Cremation private. No flowers please. Donations if desired, to Wicklow Hospice.
