Captain Clifford WINTERBOTHAM Malahide, Dublin / Avoca

Winterbotham, Captain Clifford (ex Aer Lingus, Malahide, Co. Dublin and Avoca Co. Wicklow). 25th March 2018. Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness borne with great dignity. Cliff will be sadly missed by his devoted wife and soulmate Carol, his loving and adored children Andrew and Stephanie, his cherished sisters Betty (Deacon) and Sandra (Holt), niece Carolyn, brothers-in-law Ronnie and Richard, Andrew’s partner Emma, relatives and friends.


Reposing at home from 5pm to 8pm tomorrow, Monday (March 26th). Funeral Service in St. Andrew’s Church, Church Road, Malahide on Tuesday at 2pm, followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society.


Cliff’s family would like to thank Dr. Gerry Molloy for his support throughout Cliff’s illness, Professor John McCaffrey and the Oncology team at the Mater Private Hospital for the care and attention Cliff received during his illness. They would also like to thank the Home Care Teams of St. Francis Hospice, Raheny, the Irish Cancer Society and the Public Health Centre Malahide for their exceptional kindness and care right up to the end of Cliff’s life.
