
Liam Hayden, late of Shankill, Co. Dublin and formerly of Blacklion, Greystones, Co. Wicklow, passed away, suddenly, on 24th March, 2022.
He was a beloved gentleman who had a passion for life, travelled widely, loved watching sport and spending time with people, most importantly his family. During his career, he worked as a civil engineer, then an international food processing consultant and in his later years sold Margaret’s paintings on Merrion Square. He was devoted to caring for his wife at home in Shankill.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret, children David, Bill, Paul, Deirdre and Philip, their partners and Mayte, grandchildren Hugh, Marie-Claire, Sophie-Anne, Francis, Sally, Jessie, Amy, Lara, Oisin, Sorcha, Ultan, Sam and Mira, great-grandson Arlo and by his siblings, Seamus, Kay and Declan, in-laws, extended family and many friends.
A gathering for family and friends will take place on Thursday (31st March) from 5.30pm-7.00pm in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray. Funeral Mass on Friday (1st April) at 11.00am in St. Anne’s Church, Shankill and afterwards he will be laid to rest beside his dearly loved son Declan in Shanganagh Cemetery.
