The death has occurred of Mary (Philomena) Doyle (née Browne) on 22nd January 2021 in St Vincent’s Hospital. Late of Glenvale Park, Wicklow Town. Formerly of Ballinvalley, Barniskey and Clogher, Ballymacelligott, Tralee.
Mary passed peacefully in the presence of her children in the loving care of the staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin, who showed so much empathy and care to her and us. For this we will be forever grateful. She has at last gone to join her much missed beloved husband Jim after a wait of 15 years. She also joins her recently deceased sister Jo, brothers Jer and Bob, and her many sorely missed friends.
She will be so missed by her loving family Marian, Larry, Irene, their partners Jim, Chris and Anthony, and her brothers John and Tom. Also, by her 6 grandchildren who were the light of her life: ‘my boy’ Conor, ‘my little red head’ Rachel, Hope, Lily, Zoe and Rhea, her many nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.
The family would like to thank Louise and her wonderful staff in Blainroe Lodge Nursing Home who cared for mum for the last few years, especially Amanda who sent the gratefully received photos during COVID restrictions, those who patiently sat with her learning Irish, Caroline Duffy who cared for her from Wicklow Community Services after her husband’s Jim passing, and the staff from Blue Bird Carers, especially Jackie and Siobhan who assisted in her home care.
Due to current restrictions, a private family Funeral Mass will take place in St. Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town, on Monday 25th January at 11am. The Mass will be streamed live via: www.wicklowparish.ie. Burial afterwards in Barndarrig Cemetery. Please adhere to social distancing and wear face coverings.
May Mary rest in the peace she so deserves
