BREEN, Tomas Jude (Donnybrook, Dublin 4 and Aughrim, Co. Wicklow) December 3rd 2020. Died after a short illness in St. Columcille’s Hospital, Loughlinstown, in his 88th year. Beloved only son of the late Peter & Eileen Breen of 2 Main St., Donnybrook, Dublin 4 . Sadly missed by his cousins Tessy 93, Tom 91, Nellie 92, Frances 85, John 83 and Anna 77.

A bachelor all his life his interests were engineering and the Wicklow mountains. Tom’s generosity and willingness to share his incredible knowledge with whoever was genuinely interested will be remembered by so many. In later years he handed the reins of the engineering company to Robbie who in true Breen fashion evolved it into a trend-setting technology led company.
In 2001 he settled in a small house in Wicklow National Park near Aughrim where he could feel connected to the mountains he loved so much. In 2012 he suffered a massive stroke and defied the odds to make a full recovery. He lived the remaining eight years of his life in peace and tranquility. He was a very spiritual man and has now found peace in his final resting place in Heaven.
