William (Bill) Lannigan of Bray and formerly of Tinahely, Co. Wicklow and An Garda Síochána, Dun Laoghaire, passed away peacefully, on Sunday 10th July, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness borne with great courage and dignity, in the care of the dedicated and exceptional staff at Wicklow Hospice. Beloved husband of Mary (née Kenny), proud father of Susan and Clare, adoring Grandad of Isobel and Aoileann; deeply regretted by his brother Pat, son-in-law Gary, brothers-in-law Joseph and Declan, sisters-in-law Ellen, Joan, Jackie and Bernadette, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends, neighbours and Garda colleagues past and present. Very much missed by the staff and members of Open Door, Bray.

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Thursday evening (July 14) from 5.00pm to 7.00pm, with prayers at 6.45pm. Removal from the funeral home on Friday morning at 10.00am, travelling via his residence, to the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Putland Road, Bray, arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.30am. followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.
